Worst experience ever. Will never return and told my friends (whom are regulars) to never do so either. Customer service is some of the worst I have ever encountered. So bad I left before finishing and so did someone next to me. The servers are SO rude. They singled me out in front of everybody to basically yell at me for having a tea from another establishment on my table. Meanwhile I had bought items from black walnut. And Needless to say the tea was basically empty and I suffer from an anaphylactic allergy which is why I had it in the first place- because of the lack of options for my allergy at the Black walnut but I chose to try and support the small business anyway by my boyfriend ordering several beverages. We were completely ripped apart (in front of everyone) for having the tea on the table. It was so obvious they were basically trying to make us leave. All the other customers watched this server lose it at me in a very disrespectful way and were as shocked and disgusted as I well. This is not the first comment I have read about your establishment rushing people and treating them this way. If you are in the business just to make ridiculous rules that make your customers feel angry and belittled, get out of this industry. Go work for the government instead. This cafe has potential to be warm and welcoming but you have lost my business for good as well as every other person I can spread the word to. Customers- if you are looking to be treated disrespectfully, told what to do, centred out, and indirectly asked to leave for occupying a table for longer than 5 minutes- this is the place for you. They will rush you and exercise their ridiculous "policies" like not letting you hold a paper cup that isn't from this establishment. If you are trying to flip a table, maybe don't do it this way. And don't expect me back. Appalling.

They count how long you stay there and ask you to buy stuff or leave. The slim blonde woman w short hair there is quite aggressive. (Despite us buying stuff constantly, I guess she didn't notice). I don't wanna constantly fight how long we are staying and how much we bought. Good snacks though.

My wife and I visit the Wortley location on the weekends for our coffee drinks. The staff is absolutely the best. Friendly, smiles, paced service, will get your order perfectly done to your liking. The price, emmm maybe is a little on the high end but the espresso and the atmosphere is definitely worth it and it keeps us coming back guaranteed. It’s a busy place so give them a break if they don’t serve you as quickly as you would like. I hope the owner would add the option to leave tips on the debit machine as most people like me never carry cash or money. Love the cappuccino, the best anywhere between London and Toronto for sure and the pastry is fantastic. Keep up the good work, best staff anywhere. Double Shot Extra Hot Cappuccino guy.

Lovely bakery cafe based out of Wortley Village in London, Ontario and not to be confused with the 724 Richmond Street location which is the newer of the two. Delicious pastries and great coffee . Friendly and quick service. Small but cozy and chatty neighborhoody establishment. A must visit and destination point for anyone who loves a traditional, sunny, bakery experience. Wifi is not offered here so you will not see swarms of buzzing university students congregating here for hours, sharing one cup of coffee to leech off free internet. This is the original and first location that has made the Black Walnut Cafe brand famous in London.
