  AFTER cancellation I got a letter in the mail stating as a result of my cancellation I now owe $254+. Called to work with the agent about the issue to see about getting waived and was rudely told all companies have cancellation policies and her hands were tied. She offered no empathy to my frustration of the situation and told me the policy was policy.

  Oh and PS if you think you are doing business with Rick Ten Haaf guess again because I never once dealt with my insurance rep - only ever his secretaries or the 1-800 line. Cooperators I can call and talk to the owner and or my rep ANYTIME and they are SUPER PERSONABLE AND HELPFUL.

  Very poor experience, I signed up with State Farm as my best friend was working there in another city; they had one of the highest rates available and I went with them soley based on the customer service I was receiving through my friend even through she worked out of my area. Upon renewal time for my policy state farm's policies had changed and now have cancellation fees (as of Jan 2016), when I spoke with them about my life changes PRIOR to my renewal date in Feb I was given a very poor over the phone quote with nothing on paper offering me a very poor rate for my boyfriend and I to combine our insurance for our future family goals.

  I got a quote from the Cooperators for my boyfriend and I to combine our insurance and it was (2 cars, still primary driver + full home) less than I was paying for one car on my own with statefarm and they couldn't match it or compare I asked to cancel and was told no fees or notice to cancel was needed (which of course they have no record of saying and are now calling me a liar!!!).

  That's great state farm - you've lost 2 Customers for LIFE. Great Job hope your $250 bucks are worth the bad review I'm leaving your terrible company. I HATE being talked down to on the phone, I recommend you teach your staff some customer facing values.
